The goal was to create a fictional book jacket with all elements found on book jackets and a distinct genre. Books geared toward older teens and adults in the crime fiction genre tend to be more simple, but high contrast and photographic. Because of this, photography and photo manipulation were heavily utilized to design a book jacket that is engaging, compelling, and suggests storylines of the book. An interesting and colorful font was also used to help build visual interest and add to the overall tone of the design.
