The goal was to create a book jacket for a memoir with all elements commonly found on book jackets and clear theme. The book jacket is designed to be primarily geared toward older teens and adults. It combines elements of simplicity often found in current autobiographies alongside the ornate nature of vintage leather-bound books, subtly tying in various themes found in the book. A shiny gold was used for the script and old-style serif title and subtitle fonts, as well as the illustrations, to emphasize the vintage look.
