The goal was to write and illustrate a children’s book for three-to-five year old children. Cacey Builds a Flying Machine has a target audience of children between the ages of three and five years old. The illustrations are designed to draw attention with contrast, comforting colors, and dynamic figures. The story is about a girl who pursues her dreams even when the outcome doesn’t live up to expectations. It is meant to inspire young children to follow their dreams and to keep going when things don’t go to plan the first time.
